With the deploying of IPv6, the development of transition mechanisms has become a major interest area of Internet. However, existing IPv6-IPv4 protocol translators are implemented as S/W, so they have the performance limitation. In order to solve this problem, we measure the performance of the S/W translator and analyze its performance characteristics. And we propose high-performance IPv6-IPv4 protocol translator using H/W technology. |
